A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD INFORM 1 NG STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLl C WORKS
OF THE CITY'S INTENTION TO OBLIGATE TOPICS FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEARS 1971-72 AND 1972-73
WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Act of 1968 established a new
program to expend Federal funds for an urban traffic operations
program to increase capacity and safety, henceforth known as TOPICS;
WHEREAS, the State Department of Public Works has been
appointed to a administer the Federal Topics program in California;
WHEREAS, the City has reserved its 1969-70, 1970-71 Topics
funds by submitting plans and specifications for an approved Topics
project to the Division of Highways District Office;
WHEREAS, the City has completed its area wide Topics plan and
study report as required by the Federal Highway Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City hereby declares
its intention to accumulate the 1971-72, 1972-73 apportionments of
California Federal Topics funds for expenditure on an approved
Topics project.
