A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, ADOPTING SALARY PLAN FOR THE CITY FOR 1972-73 FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, the City Council did on May 31, 1972, June 14, 1972,
June 20, 1972, and July 3, 1972, hold discussions regarding standard
rates of pay, position titles, hours of work and holidays for all
ci ty employees ;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad does
resolve as follows:
1. The following standard rates, with step increases set
forth thereafter, described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
made a part hereof, are hereby established as the salary plan for
the City of Carlsbad.
The normal eligibility for salary step increases shall be
six months of meritorious service for Step B; one year for Step C;
one year for Step D; and one year for Step E.
These normal step increases shall be granted upon recommenda-
tion of the Department Head and approval by the City Manager. Double
step increases, or step increases in less than the normal time of
service, may be permitted for exceptional work performance or un-
usual employment conditions.
2. The Standard Range and Class Titles described in Exhibit
"B", attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby adopted for
the 1972-73 fiscal year.

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad at an adjourned regular meeting held on the 5th
day of July, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Cmn. Dunne, McComas, Lewis, Chase and Frazee.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
