A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION RE- GARDING A PRE-ANNEXATION CHANGE OF ZONE FROM COUNTY ZONING A-1-8, A-3-8 AND L-C TO P-C (PLANNED COMMUNITY) ZONE, AND ADOPTION OF A MASTER PLAN, ON 2900 ACRES LOCATED ON THE EASTERLY SIDE OF EL CAMINO REAL, NORTHERLY OF OLIVENHEIN ROAD. (La Costa Land Development Co.)
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of July, 1972, the Carlsbad City
'lanning Commission adopted Resolution No. 808, which is herewith
*eferred to and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of August, 1972, a duly advertised
iublic hearing was held as prescribed by law to consider a Pre-Annex-
ition change of zone from County Zoning A-1-8, A-3-8 and L-C to P-C
:Planned Community) Zone, and adoption of a Master Plan on property
iescribed as follows:
All that real property situated in the County of San Diego, State of California, being portions of Sections 25, 26, 35 and 36 of Township 12 South,
Range 4 West, Sections 19, 29, 30, 31 and 32 of Township 12 South, Range 3 West; Sections 1 and 2 of Township 13 South, Range 3 West, S.B.M. and Lots 3, 4, 5, 8 and 9 and portions of lots 6 and 10 of Rancho La Encinitas per map #848 and all maps of record lying in the approved area known as the East Carlsbad Annexation 2.12 (La Costa), more particularly described in application on file in the City Clerk's office.
WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and
ieard all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change
Df Pre-Annexation classification and Master Plan.
NOW,THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
-IEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning
=ommission contained in Resolution No. 808 constitute the findings
3f the City Council of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certifies that the approval of the proposed Pre-Annexation change
of zone classification is necessary to carry out the general purpose
of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLYED that the City Council does hereby
declare its intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the
proposed change of zone classification.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 15th day of August, 1972, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES : Cmn. Dunne, McComas, Lewis, Chase and Frazee. I
