WHEREAS the City of Carlsbad (herein sometimes referred to as "Applicant") desires to acquire and develop Fee Interest to certain land adjacent to a.rea designated as Holiday Park, which land is to be held and used for permanent open-space land for recreation and use by low income residents; and
WHEREAS the activities for which such assistance is sought will involve displacement and/or land acquisition occurring on or after January 2, 1971, the effective date of the Act; and
WHEREAS Sections 210 and 305 of the Act require the pro- vision of certain assuranc.e before the head of a Federal agency can provide financial assistance to p,ay all or part of the cost of any program or project which will result in displacement or
real property acquisition as defined in the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by this governing body:
That the Housing Authority of the City of Carlsbad is hereby designated as the agency to undertake and carry out for the Applicant all relocation activities as prescribed in the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970.
