HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-09-19; City Council; Resolution 20821 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 12 14 1E 1t 17 It 1: 2( 21 2: 2: 2f 2f 2( 2’ z 2! 3 3 3 RESOLUTION NO. 2082 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING ADOPTION OF A SPECIFIC PLAN ON ERSON STREET OPPOSITE LAS FLORES DRIVE, AND APPROVING A TENTATIVE MAP FOR CARLSBAD (Bruce Far1 ey Corp. ) PROPERTY LYING ON THE WESTERLY SIDE OF JEFF- TRACT NO. 72-22. WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of August,.1972, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 825 which is hereby referred to and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, on September 19, 1972, a duly advertised public hearing was held as prescribed by law to consider a Specific Plan and Tentative Map on property described as: That portion of Tract 3 of Laguna Mesa Tract in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof No. 1719, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of said San Diego County, June 20, 1921; TOGETHER WITH a portion of the Southwesterly half of County Road Survey No. 135 (known as Carlsbad Road) as shown on said Map No. 1719 as closed to vehicular traffic by the Board of Supervisors of San Diego County on June 28, 1948; and filed in Book 148, Page 50 of Supervisors Records, and more particularly described in application on file in the City Clerk’s Office. WHEREAS, the City Council received “all recommendations and heard all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed Specific Plan and Tentative Map. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning Commission contained in Resolution No. 825 constitute the findings of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, with the inclusions of the following: A. The subdivider shall furnish the U. S. Post Office, Carlsbad, California, with a copy of the final map for said subdivision. B. Complete plans and specifications shall be submitted 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 as required for checking and approval before construction of any improvement is commenced. BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council certifies that the approval of the proposed Specific Plan and Tentative Map is necessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby declare its intention to adopt an Ordinance to effectuate the proposed Specific Plan. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 19th day of September, 1972, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Dunne, McComas, Lewis, Frazee, Chase, NOES: None ABSENT: None.
