RESOLUTION NO. 3006
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY AND STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO CONDUCT POPULATION
ESTIMATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carslbad at an
adjourned meeting held October 19, 1972, considered the author-
ization of the City Manager to execute an agreement with the
State of California, Department of Finance, for the purpose of
conducting a "Population Es tmate. I'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad that the City Council does hereby approve said
authorization for the following reasons:
1. That the current population estimate of the City
of Carlsbad exceeds the last estimate by the State
of California by at least 300 persons;
2. That the Gas Tax Funds gained by the City wou
exceed the cost of the "Population Estimate';
3. That there is a need to update census informa
that is necessary for certain City projects.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at an adjourned meeting of
the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held
October 19, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Counci lmen Dunne, McCoinas , Lewis , Chase and Frazee.
NOES: None
