FRAZIER'S DOMESTIC WELL AS A SITE OF HISTORICAL S IGNI FI CANCE . WHEREAS, the present City of Carlsbad was known as Frazier's Station prior to 1887, having been named after an early settler, John A. Frazier, and WHEREAS, it was John A. Frazierls domestic well water which was recognized as having the same qualities as the water of the Ninth Spa of Karlsbad, Bohemia, and WHEREAS, this similarity between both waters was the basis for the present name of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the location of John A. Frazier's domestic well is recognized as a site of historical significance to the City of Carlsbad. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held February 20, 1973, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Dunne, McComas, Lewis, Chase and Frazee.
