RESOLUTION NO. -3116
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A MASTER PLAN FOR 120 ACRES OF LAND!, LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF OLIVENHAIN ROAD, EASTERLY OF EL CAMINO REAL, TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF 420 SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLINGS BY PONDEROSA HOMES.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Carlsbad did on the 10th day of Apri;,, 1973, hold a duly
advertised public hearing as prescribed by law, to consider a
request by Ponderosa Homes for approval of a Master Plan to
allow construction of 420 single-famrly dwellings on property
described as:
Being the easterly 2505 feet of the Southerly 2107 feet of Lot Ne. 11 of Rancho Las Encinitas, Map No. 848, in the County of San Diego, State of California;; and
WHEREAS, at the conclusion of said hearing, the Planning
Commission adopted Resolution No. 888 recommending adoption
of said Master Plan which is incorporated by reference
herein; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has met the requirements of the
"City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972".
An Environmental Impact Report has been prepared, processed
and accepted as required by said Ord-inance; and
WHEREAS, on .May.lst, , , 1973, a duly advertised
Public Hearing was held before the C-ity Council to consider
the proposed Master Plan, and after hearing and considering
the testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring
to be heard, said Council did find the following facts and
reasons present which in their opinion are necessary to
carry out the general purpose of Title 21 of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code:

1. The proposed application is consistent with the General Plan as it applies to contiguous properties within the City of Carlsbati.
2. The proposed zone is consistent with the Housing
3. The proposed development satisfies the intent of
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED t)y the City Council of
Element of the General Plan.

the City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the findings of the Planning Commission
contained in the Resolution No. 888 constitute the findings
of the Carlsbad City Council.
3. That the approval of the proposed Master Plan is
necessary to carry out the general purpose of Title 21 of
the Municipal Code.
4. That the Master Plan detailed in Planning Commission
Resolution No. 888 is hereby approved subject to all the
conditions set out in said resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the City Council on the 1st day of May, 1973, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES : Cmn. Dunne, McComas, Chase and Frazee.
NOES : Cmn. Lewis.
ABSENT: None.
