RESOLUTION NO. 3141
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, REJECTING
IZING THE CITY CLERK TO READVERTISE FOR BIDS ON CONTRACT NO. 1018, INSTALLATION OF
TENNIS COURTS AT LAGUNA RIVIERA PARK.
ALL BIDS ON CONTRACT NO. 1018 AND AUTHOR-
WHEREAS, bids were opened on May 21, 1973, for installation
of tennis courts at Laguna Riviera Park in the City of Carlsbad;
and
WHEREAS, the low bid of $35,356.84, submitted by E & G
Engineers, was approximately 25% over the Engineer's Estimate; a
WHEREAS, a misunderstanding in bid item No. 2 of the Bid
Proposals caused some of the bidders to qualify their bids; and
WHEREAS, the available funds in the amount of $28,835 are
insufficient to accomplish the construction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the C
of Carlsbad as follows:
All bids received for subject contract are rejected and the
City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is authorized and directed to
readvertise for bids.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held June 5,
1973, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Cmn. McComas, Lewis, Chase, and Frazee.
NOES : None.
