RESOLUTION NO. 3145
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, URGING A CHANGE IN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ORGANIZATION VOTING FORMULA.
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego is the primary regional
government in this area and the only one comprised of officials
elected on a regional basis; and
NHEREAS, the Comprehensive Planning Organization has
certain limited regional functions and cannot effectively
operate without the full participation of county government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That it is the position of the City of Carlsbad
that the vote of the County of San Diego in the Comprehensive
Planning Organization shall not be less than the vote exercised
by any other entity,
3. That the City of Carlsbad urges the other cities
in the county to join in support of said position.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the6th day of June, 1973, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Cmn. McComas, Lewis, Chase, and Frazee.
NOES : None.
ABSENT : Cmn. Dunne.
