RESOLUTION NO. 3191
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS FOR CONSULTANTS' SERVICES FOR THE PREPARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORTS AS REQUIRED FROM TIME TO TIME PURSUANT TO THE "CITY OF CARLSBAD ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ORDINANCE OF 1972".
WHEREAS, the "City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection
Ordinance of 1972" provides that in certain cases the Planning
Director may determine that it is necessary to secure the
services of outside consultants in the preparation of environ-
mental impact reports; and
WHEREAS, said ordinance provides that the costs of such
services shall be borne by the applicant who has requested
entitlements for the project occasioning the need for such
services; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the City Manager be empowered
to execute contracts with the consultants from time to time,
as he determines necessary, in order to secure the preparation
of the environmental impact reports;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute
agreements to provide for the preparation of environmental
impact reports from time to time, as he considers necessary.
The cost of said reports to be paid by the proponents of the
project for which the reports are being prepared.
