A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AND THE CITY OF
OCEANSIDE TO CLAIM $2,683 OF CARLSBAD'S LOCAL
TRANSPORTATION FUND ALLOCATION TO FUND CARLSBAD'S
SHARE OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ORGANIZATION'S
TRANSIT IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT.

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. That that certain agreement between the City of
Carlsbad and the City of Oceanside authorizing the City of
Oceanside to claim $2,683 of Carlsbad's local transportation fund

allocation to fund Carlsbad's share of the Comprehensive Planning
Organization's transit implementation program, marked Exhibit "A",
a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
authorized and directed to execute said agreement for and on behalf
of the City of Carlsbad.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the
7th day of May , 1974, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Frazee, Chase, McComas and Lewis.
NOES; None.
ABSENT: None.

WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Planning Organization's Board of Direceors, e- -
representing the thirteen cities and County in the San Diego region, at its Octo-
ber 15,. 1973 meeting unanimously agreed to purstze an accelerated work schedule . . ./
for the purpose of placing a ballot question on the 1974 general election bdlot; ad

NOW THEREFORE, the cities of Oceanside, Escondido, Vista, Carlsbad '

Transit Implementation Program
As outlined in the enclosed report, anticipated Federal Highway Act
finds have not materialized and the CPO Board has been forced to
consider other sources of funding for portions of the Transit Irrple-
