USE ELEMENT OF SAID PLAN FOR FOUR AREAS WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad d the 9th day of April, 1974, hold a duly noticed public hearing as d on prescribed by law, to consider an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan by amending the designated Land Uses for the areas shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein to conform to the underlying zoning; and !WEREAS, said amendments have met the requirements of the City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972 and have been declared to have a "non-significant" impact on the environment; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution Nos. 1055, 1056, 1058 and 1059 recommending said amendments to the City Council; and MHEREAS, on May 7, 1974 the City Council held duly advertised public hearings to consider said amendments; and, WHEREAS, on May 9, 1974 the City Council held a continued public hearing to consider Land Use Amendment No. 11 ; and, HHEREAS, at said public hearings, the City Council received the recommendations, objections, protests and comments of all individuals and parties who desired to be heard. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the findings of the Planning Commission as set forth in Planning Commission Resolution Nos. 1055, 1056, 1058 e! 1059 constitute the findings of the City Council. 3. That Land Use Amendment Nos. 10, 71, 12, & 13 to the General Plan are hereby approved. 4. That the Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of Carlsbad is amended as follows: *, ._ -* 1 i ? c 4 F & c 7 E s 1c 11 12 1: 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 20 29 30 31 32 (a) That area currently indicated on the General Plan as Civic Centers more particularly described as a Portion of Tracts 115, 117, and 119 of Carlsbad, according to Map No. 166, filed in the office of the San Diego County Recorder, and generally described as lands west of Highland Drive, east of 1-5, south of Stratford Lane, and north of Oak Avenue, (Civic Center) , be changed to reflect Low Density Residential (3-7 d.u ./acre), Professional -Administrative-Commercial and Civic Center General Plan Land Uses. Said properties are more specifically outlined in Exhibit "A" as Land Use Amendment No. 10. (b) That area currently indicated on the General Plan as Low Density Residential (3-7 d.u./acre), described as a Portion of Lots 4 and 5, Section 32, Township 11 South, Range 4 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the City of Carlsbad, and generally described as land south of Marron Road, east of €1 Camino Real (Vanderburg Property), be changed to reflect a General Plan Land Use designation of Professional-Administrative Commercial. Said property is more specifically outlined in Exhibit "A" as Land Use Amendment No. 11. (c) That area currently indicated on the General Plan as Yedium Density Residential (22-47 d.u ./acre), more particularly described as a Portion of Lot "H" of the Rancho Agua Hedionda, Yap 823, in the City of Carlsbad, and generally described as land south of Palomar Airport Road, east of Lowder Lane and north of the Canyon de las Encinas (McReynolds Property) , be changed to reflect the General Plan Land Use designation of Planned Industrial (P-M). Said property is more specifically outlined in Exhibit "A" as Land Use Amendment No. 12. (d) Space, Semi-public and Public Parks, and Estate Low Density Residential (0-2 d.u./acre) more particularly described as a Portion of Lot B, Rancho Agua Hedionda, according to Map 823 in the City of Carlsbad, and generally described as land north of Palomar Airport Road, approximately 1/4 mile east of El Camino Real (Loker Property), be changed to reflect a General Plan Land Use designation of Planned Industrial (P-M). Said property is more specifically outlined in Exhibit "A" as Land Use Amendment No. 13. That area currently indicated on the General Plan as Open PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council, on the 21st day of May , 1974, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Frazee, Chase, McComas and Lewis NOES: None ABSENT: None 4 ROBERT C.
