HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-06-05; City Council; Resolution 3438RESOLUTION NO, 3438 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA REQUESTING THAT THE COUNCIL ON INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS EXTEND THE DATE FOR ADOPTING THE SEISMIC SAFETY, NOISE, SAFETY AND SCENIC HIGHWAY ELEMENTS OF THE CARLSBAD GENERAL PLAN. WHEREAS, Section 65302.2 of the California Government Code provides that the City of Carlsbad must have adopted certain elements of its General Plan by September 20, 1974; and WHEREAS, due to a number of factors, several of which were beyond the power of the City to control, it appears that it will be impossible for the City to meet the deadline; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the City of Carlsbad hereby asks that the Council on Intergovernmental Relations grant to the City an extension of the deadline for adoption of certain elements of the General Plan as follows: (a) Geologic Hazards Element to October 31, 1974. (b) Scenic Highways Element to November 30, 1974. (c) Safety Element to December 31, 1974. (d) Noise Element to December 31, 1974. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on the 5th day of June , 1974, by the following vote, to wit: AYES : Cmn. Frazee, Chase, McComas and Lewis. NOES : None. ABSENT : None. YROBERT C. FRAZEE, Mayor - , ATTEST :
