RUBBISH, REFUSE, AND DIRT REMOVED ---_- -- -----__I
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve
as follows:
1. At its meeting of 4pril 1, 1975, the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad did herein consider all ob.jectirJns to the proposed
removal of weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt on certaiyi property
located within the City of Carlsbad.
2. Notice of said meeting was given to all affected property
owners as required by law.
3. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad did hear all
objections, if any, to the proposed removal of weeds, rubbish,
refuse and dirt, and at the conclusion of the hearing, did over-
rule any said objections, if any, except as follows:

4. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby
order the Utilities/Maintenance Director of the City of Carlsbad
to abate t!ie nuisances on the attached list, except as stated
above, by having the weeds, rubbish, refuse and dirt thereon
retnoved.

COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR OPERATION BY TRE
COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO OF ABANDONED VEHICLE
PROGRAM WITHIN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this
of , 1975, by and between the City of Carlsbad,
hereinafter called "City", and the Co

RECITALS :
WHEREAS, S 22660 of the State Motor Vehicle

WHEREAS, the County has adopted an abandoned vehicl

WHEREAS, the City and the County desire to extend
the County Abatement Program to include the City of Carlsbad

WHEREAS, the California Highway Patrol endorses joint
City-County abatement programs where feasible;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed as follows: i
I 1. The County shall apply its service for abatement
of abandoned', wrecked, dismantled and inoperable vehicles
within the City of Carlsbad, in conformance with the require-
ments of S 22660 of the Vehicle Code and Chapter 10.52 of the
Carlsbad Municipal Code.
2. County will assign sufficient abandoned vehicle
abatement investigators and adequate support to abate a
planned 50 vehicles from within the City, on an annual basis,

the County's Director of Department of Sanitation & Flood
Control or his designee,

(a) The California Highway Patrol continues to
reimburse the program.
(b) The abandoned, wrecked, dismantled and in-
operative vehicles continue to be apparent in quantities to
justify the program.
6. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 5 of
this agreement, this agreement may be terminated by either
party hereto at the conclusion of any fiscal year, by written
notice of intent to terminate served on the other party at
least 90 days prior to the conclusion of such fiscal year,

(a) The City agrees, pursuant to S 895.4 of the
Government Code to indemnify and hold harmless the County,
its employees, agents and officers, against any and all
claims, demands or causes of action arising out of any act
or omission of any officer, agent or employee of the City
pursuant to this agreement.
