HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-07-17; City Council; Resolution 3694RESOLUTION NO.3694 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION ON A CHANGE OF ZONE (ZC-155 AND ZC-156) REZONING A NUMBER OF CITY SCHOOL SITES, CITY PARK SITES AND OTHER LANDS TO 0-S (OPEN SPACE ZONE). APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD WHEREAS, on May 13, 1975 and June 11, 1975, duly adver- tised public hearings were held before the Planning Commission in a manner prescribed by law to consider a change of zone from a number of zones to 0-S (Open Space Zone) and to consider the application of the 0-S zone to previously rezoned property located throughout the City and more particularly described in Planning Commission Resolutions 1152 and 1162 on file in the Planning Department and incorporated by reference herein; and WHEREAS, at the conclusion of said hearings, the Planning Commission adopted Resolutions Nos. 1152 and 1162 recommending said zone changes; and WHEREAS, on July 1, 1975, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad held a public hearing on the matter and received all recommendations and heard all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed changes of zone; and WHEREAS, the zone change application has complied with the City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the findings of the Planning Commission contained 11 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 in the aforementioned Resolutions Nos. 1152 and 1162 constitute the findings of the Carlsbad City Council 3. That the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is necessary to carry out the general purpose of Title 21 of the Municipal Code. 4. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad intends to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone, excepting properties Nos. 12, 18 and 4 which have been referred to staff for further study. 10 11 12 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council on the 17th day of July , 1975, by the following vote, to wit: (SEAL) AYES: Councilmen Frazee, Chase, Lewis, Skotnicki and Councilwoman Casler NOES: None ATTEST : 2.
