RESOLUTION NO. 3707
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 3169 WHICH ADOPTED A SPECIFIC
PLAN (SP-122) FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A 300-UNIT
TOWNHOUSE CLUSTER ON PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF POINSETTIA LANE
BETmEN 1-5 AND LAGOON LANE. APPLICANTS:
COVINGTON BROTHERS/OCCIDENTAL PETROLEUM
LAND AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
WHEREAS, on August 7, 1973 the City Council held a duly
advertised public hearing and received all recommendations and
heard all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed specific
plan and adopted said plan; and
WHEREAS, on July 15, 1975 a duly advertised public hearing
bras held in the manner prescribed by law to consider an amended
specific plan (SP-122A) for the property;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
?ity of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the findings of the Planning Commission as set
Eorth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 1159 constitute the
Eindings of the City Council.
3. That the approval of the proposed specific plan amend-
nent is necessary to carry out the general purpose of Title 21 of
:he Carlsbad Municipal Code and the City Council intends to adopt
said plan by ordinance.
4. That the specific plan (SP-122) and Resolution No.
3169 are hereby rescinded.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 5th day of August , 1975 by the fol-
lowing vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmen Frazee, Chase, Lewis and Skotnicki
NOES : Councilwoman Casler
ABSENT: None
