HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-08-19; City Council; Resolution 3728D 14 2c 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 k 0 RESOLUTION NO. 3728 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISH- ING FEES FOR THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANS- PORTATION SERVICE PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 6.06 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE. WHEREAS, Chapter 6.06 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code establishes an emergency medical transportation service for the City of Carlsbad and authorizes the imposition of a fee on the users of such service; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined an appropriate fee schedule for such service; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the following fees are hereby established for the emergency medical transportation service: (a) Except as provided herein, a fee of $25.00 shall be paid for each victim transported to a primary emergency facilit: (b) Victims classified as dead on arrival or City employees whose illness or injury results from their City employ- ment shall pay no fee. (c) If more than one member of a family is transport- ed as a result of an injury from the same incident, the fee for the second such family member shall be $15.00, and the fee for the third such member shall be $10.00. (d) The maximum fee for one family resulting from the same incident shall be $50.00. 3. That all fees established hereby are due and payable on the day the service is rendered and are delinquent after 60 days. The City Manager is authorized to take any appropriate measures to collect delinquent fees. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on the 19th day of Auqust 1975, by the following vote, to wit: AYES : Councilmen Frazee, Chase, Lewis, Skotnicki and NOES : None Councilwoman Casler ABSENT: None d *c e ROBERT C.
