A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF TEE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
REQUEST'ING THE DIRECTORS OF THE TRI-
CITY HOSPITAL DISTRICT TO SERVE AS
THE AGENCY FOR THE INITIATION AND
OPERATION OF EMERGENCY PA&VIEDIC
SERVICE FOR MJNICIPALITIES WITHIN
TRI-CITY HOSPITAL DISTRICT.
WHEZEAS, the provision of emergency paramedic sezvice has
>een considered by the cities of North San Diego; and
WHEREAS, the question of individual city need has not been
iefinltely resolved; and
WHEREAS, it may not be considered economically feasible for
:ach city to initiate and provide such service independently; and
WBE??EAS, an existing special district government agency doe
!xist which overlays the cities concerned., namely the Tri-City
[ospital district;
NOW, TIIEXEFOXE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
iity of Carlsbad, California that:
1. The above statements are true and correct.
3.. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
.quests the City Councils of Oceanside, and Vista,
lalifornia to join together in requesting the Directors of the Tri-
litv Hospital District to serve as the agency for the initiation,
!stablishaent, maintenance, operation and management of emergency
laramedic service for all municipalities lying within the
loundaries of the Txi-City Hospital District if it is determined
.hat such a service is needed in North County.
