HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-01-20; City Council; Resolution 38291 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 1c 11 12 12 2c 21 22 22 24 25 26 27 28 k V 3Q RESOLUTION NO. 3829 A RES IUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, "IENDING THE GENERAL PLAN BY THE ADOPTION OF AN OVERALL GOALS AND POLICY STATEMENT AS PART OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD (GPA-37). WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 26th day of November, 1975, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to consider amendments to the General Plan establishing an overall goals and policy statement; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission did adopt Resolution No. 1205 recommending to the City Council an amendment to the General Plan (GPA-37) adopting an overall goals and policy statement as part of the City of Carlsbad General Plan. Said resolution is on file in the Planning Depart- ment and is incorporated by reference herein; and WHEREAS, said amendment has met the requirements of the City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972 and has been declared to be of nonsignificant environmental impact; and du 1; WHEREAS, the City Council, on December 16, 1975, held a advertised public hearing to consider said anendnent and has received the recommendations, objections, protests and comments of all individuals and parties who desired to be heard; NOF7, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the findings of the Planning Commission as set forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 1205 constitute the findings of the City Council. 3. That the General Plan of the City of Carlsbad is amended by the adoption of an overall goals and policy statement consisting of a text marked Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on the 20th day of Janaury I 1976, by the following vote, to wit: AYES : NOES : None. This goal envisions a community composed oi ccjhesjve neighborhoods and areas of varied size and socio-economfc structure' grouped around an appropriate number of centers providing community services in a safet Ettrzctive, pollution-free environment, based on a sound, viable ~COI~GI~I~, ..
