RESOLUTION NO. 3933
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING. AN EQUIPMENT AND UNIFORM REIMBURSEMENT
ALLOWANCE FOR RESERVE OFFICERS OF THE
CARLSBAD POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Reserve Police Officers of the Carlsbad Police
Department serve voluntarily; and
WHEREAS, each officer is responsible for the purchase of
individual items of uniform and equipment; and
WHEREAS, this imposes a degree of financial hardship on
those who serve the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above statements are true and correct.
2. That the City Council does hereby authorize and
direct the City Manager to establish a method whereby:
a. Each Reserve Police Officer who, on or after
July 1, 1976, has completed his first year of satisfactory
service be reimbursed for one time only the sum of $100.00
toward the initial cost of purchasing Reserve Police Officer
clothing and equipment.
b. Each Reserve Police Officer who completes one
year of satisfactory service, on or after July 1, 1976, shall
be reimbursed annually the sum of $50.00 toward the cost of
maintaining Reserve Police Officer clothing and equipment.
c. These reimbursements shall be due and payable
as of July 1, 1976, and July 1, of each succeeding year in
whole or in pro rata shares as deemed appropriate by the
City Manager..

Carlsbad City Council held on the 15th day of June
