RESOLUTION NO. 3969
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AUTHORIZING THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY DIRECTOR
OF PUBLIC HEALTH TO ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF
ORDINANCE NO. 4015 RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION,
REPAIR, RECONSTRUCTION OR DESTRUCTION OF WELLS
WITHIN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore, by Resolution No.
entered into an agreement with San Diego County providing
for the County to carry out public health services in the
City of Carlsbad, including enforcement by appropriate
County Officials of certain City ordinances relating to
public health, and
WHEREAS, the City has now adopted Ordinance No. 4015
relating to the construction, repair, reconstruction or
destruction of wells, which ordinance stipulates that the
San Diego County Director of Public Health shall be the
enforcing officer, and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary for the City Council to
request that the San Diego County Director of Public Health
enforce the provisions of Ordinance No. 4015.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad does hereby formally request the Board
of Supervisors to direct the San Diego County Director of
Public Health to enforce the provisions of Ordinance No. 4015
in the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City does hereby authorize
said appropriate County officials and employees to enforce said

ordinance within the incorporated area of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
certify that said Ordinance No. 4015 is comparable and compati-
ble with the County ordinance relating to the construction,
repair, reconstruction or destruction of wells.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Carlsbad be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to
forward a certified copy of this resolution to the San Diego
County Board of Supervisors.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held the 20th day of July
1976, by the following vote, to wit:
