HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-09-07; City Council; Resolution 4001RESOLUTION NO. 4001 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA EXPRESSING ITS INTENTION TO ACCEPT THE BEQUEST OF EUGENE B. KLYCE OF THE SUM OF $600.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING A PARALLEL BAR AND THREE HORIZONTAL BARS IN A PUBLIC PARK OR BEACH. WHEREAS, Eugene B. Klyce has by his Last Will and Testament bequeathed the sum of $600.00 to the City of Carlsbad; and WHEREAS, said bequest is made upon the condition that said six hundred dollars be used for the purpose of installing a parallel bar and three horizontal bars (low, medium and high) in a public park or beach for the use of the public; and WHEREAS, the Executor of the Will, through their attorney, has asked that the City of Carlsbad acknowledge whether or not the City of Carlsbad is inclined to accept the gift with the con- ditions prior to October 27, 1976; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and. correct. 2. That the City Council is inclined to accept the gift with the conditions, and wishes on behalf of all the citizens of Carlsbad to express its appreciation for the generosity of Eugene B. Klyce and to honor his memory. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on the 7th day of September, 1976, by the following vote, to wit: AYES : Councilmen Lewis, Skotnicki, Packard and Councilwoman Casler.
