RESOLUTION NO. 5104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 3955 BY AMENDMENT OF THE
CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY RANGE SCHEDULE
FOR MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEES, TO DELETE THE
POSITION OF SENIOR LIBRARIAN, SALARY RANGE
36, AND TO ADD THE POSITION OF LIBRARIAN 11,
HEAD OF TECHNICAL SERVICES, SALARY RANGE 36.
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends and the City Council
concurs that the City of Carlsbad’s Classification and Salary
Range Schedule for Miscellaneous Employees be amended by the
deletion of the position of Senior Librarian, at Salary Range 36,
and by the addition of the position of Librarian 11, Head of
Technical Services, at Salary Range 36;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above facts are true and correct.
2. That the City Council authorizes and directs the
amendment of the City of Carlsbad’s Classification and Salary
Range Schedule for Miscellaneous Employees by the deletion of the
position of Senior Librarian, Salary Range 36, and the addition
of the position of Librarian 11, Head of Technical Services,
Salary Range 36, as shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto and made
a part thereof, and as described in the attached job description.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the Carlsbad City Council held on the 7th day of June I

Definition This is a professional class in the library series with
full responsibility to direct the Technical Services Department, and its functions, including ordering and
receiving, cataloging, mechanical processing, and super- vision of the technical processes personnel.

Employment
Standards Graduation from ALA accredited library school. Minimum of
