A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, REDESIGNATING THE NAPE OF CANYON PARK TO LA COSTA CANYON PARK, APPROVING THE DESIGN CONCEPT AND PRELIMINARY COST ESTIPIATE , AND AUTHORIZING THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT TO COMPLETE TEE REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED I?? RESOLUTION NO. 5005
WHEREAS, La Costa Canyon Park, nine acres located at the
southwest end of San Marcos Canyon in La Costa Vale, is
designated in Parks and Recreation Element of the Carlsbad
General Plan as Canyon Park; and
WHEREAS, The Parks and Recreation Commission at its
March 21, 1977, meeting recommended changing the name of
Canyon Park; and
WHEREAS, the 1976-77 final budget approved $100,000 from
Area #7 Park-in-Lieu fees for the project; and
-GHEREAS, the City Council, in City Council Resolution
5005, authorized Kater and Associates, Landscape Architect,
to develop a cost estimate, and architectural design and other
related work; and
WHEREAS, the landscape architect has completed an
architectural design and a cost estimate for construction,
planting and irrigation for $91,035 at a fee of approximately
$8,975; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission at its
May 16, 1977, meeting approved the design concept and the
preliminary cost estimate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the project name be redesignated La Costa
Canyon Park.
3. That the Design Concept and Preliminary Cost
Estimate be approved.
That the landscape architect be authorized to
complete requirements specified in Resolution
No. 5005.
4.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, by the City Council of
Carlsbad, California, at a meeting held on the 21st day of
June
