RESOLUTION NO. 5314
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE APPOINTMENT OF CERTAIN COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING
ACT PERSONNEL TO THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE.
WHEREAS, RICHARD W. FISHER and ARTHUR V. VIERA were
appointed to CETA positions from valid Employment Lists during
Zalendar Year 1974; and
WHEREAS, at the time of the appointment it was the stated
intent of the city to integrate these employees into the
classified service; and
WHEREAS, RICHARD W. FISHER and ARTHUR V. VIERA have
faithfully and loyally served the City of Carlsbad in their
respective positions of FIREMAN and POLICE OFFICER;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to
appoint RICHARD W. FISHER and ARTHUR V, VIERA to permanent
positions as F.IREMAN and POLICE OFFICER in the classified
service of the city, retaining all rights and privileges from
March 1, 1978. an adjourned
Council of the City of Carlsbad, held on the 28th
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at /. regular meeting of the City

February , 1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmen Frazee, Lewis, Packard, Skotnicki and
