RESOLUTION NO. 5375
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT THE
PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
REQUIRE THE ISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE TO
RALPH BURNETTE DBA RALPH AND EDDIE'S TAXI
SERVICE TO OPERATE ONE TAXICAB IN THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD AND ORDERING THE CITY CLERK TO ISSUE SAID CERTIFICATE SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, Ralph Burnette dba Ralph and Eddie's Taxi Service
in accord with Chapter 5.20 of the Municipal Code has applied for
a Certificatle of Convenience and Necessity to operate taxicab
service within the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said chapter a public hearing was held
before the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on April 4, 1978
to determine whether or not the public interest, convenience and
necessity require the issuance of the certification applied for;
and
WHEREAS, at said hearing all persons having interests in the
matter were heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require the issuance of the certificate applied for.
3. That said certificate is hereby issued to Ralph Burnette
dba Ralph and Eddie's Taxi Service for a period of three years,
subject to the following terms and conditions:
(a) The certificate permits service throughout the City of Carlsbad.
(b) One taxicab is authorized.

(c) The schedule of fares to be charged shall be:
$ .70 per mile, with a $ .70 initial flag meter drop, and
a w;ziting time charge of $7.00 per hour.
The certificate and the operation of taxi service
pursuant: thereto shall be subject to all of the provisions of Chapter 5.20 of the Municipal Code.
(d)
(e) This certificate is issued for a period of three years to expire April 19, 1981.
Applicant's application form dated February 25, 1977, on file in the office of the City Clerk and incorporated by reference herein, shall be part of this Certificate.
(f)
(9) The City shall have the right to inspect all
