HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-04-18; City Council; Resolution 53781 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 ZC 11 12 0 a 19 2c 21 22 22 24 25 26 27 2e RESOLUTION NO. 5378 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, CONCUIiRING IN THE FINDINGS OF OVER- CROWDING IN SCHOOL ATTENDANCE AREAS MADE BY THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE SAN DIEGUITO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 65971. WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the San Dieguito Union High School District, by adoption of a resolution on February 9, 1978, nade a series of factual findings regarding conditions of over- zrowding in certain school attendance areas and methods of nitigating such conditions pursuant to California Government Code section 65971; and WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the San Dieguito Union High school District has notified the City Council of the City of Zarlsbad of said findings by forwarding a copy of said resolution dhich is on file with the City Clerk and incorporated by reference herein; and WHEREAS,, the City Council at their April 4, 1978 meeting considered said findings and the factual support therefor conkained in said resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. Tha-c the Governing Board of the San Dieguito Union High School District has made the findings contemplated by Government Code Section 65971 and that said findings are supported by clear and convincing evidence as reflected in the resolution adopted by said District on February 9, 1978. That the Governing Board of the San Dieguito Union High 2. 25 26 27 28 chool District has notified the City Council of said findings in ccordance with Section 65971. 3. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California .fter consideration of the evidence contained in said resolution, tereby concurs in the findings contained therein. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the :ity of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of April , 1978 by the following vote, to wit: AYES : NOES : None Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Anear and Councilwoman Casler ABSENT : None 4TTEST : 2.
