RESOLUTION NO. 5485
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, TEMPORaRILY
CLOSING CERTAIN CITY STREETS FOR A LOCAL
SPECIALTY EVENT, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce has requested that
the City Council temporarily close certain City streets for a
local specialty event; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such closing
s necessary for the safety and protection of persons who are to
se that portion of the street during the temporary closing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
ity of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above facts are true and correct.
2. That, pursuant to Section 21101(e) of the California
ehicle Code, Washington from Elm to Grand, State Street from
:lm to Cedar (by Bauer Lumber Company), Grand from Washington to
Loosevelt, and Elm from Roosevelt to State shall be temporarily
llosed for a local special event on Sunday, October 15, 1978 from
1:OO AM through 6:OO PM.
3. That the temporary closing, approved by this resolution,
.s subject to the following conditions to be satisfied to the
iatisfaction of the City Manager prior to October 5, 1978:
A. A Certificate of Insurance against all liability naming
.he City as an "also insured" in the amount of $1,000,000.00 shall
)e furnished.
E. That the cost of services performed by the City will be
'eimbursed in full by the Chamber of Commerce.
