RESOLUTION NO. 5555
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF CONTRACT 1055B FOR CONVERSION OF DIGESTERS NO. 1 AND 3
TO FIXED COVER DESIGN WITH CONVERSION OF HEATING SYSTEMS
TO STEAM INJECTION AND INSTALLATION OF A MIXING SYSTEM IN
DIGESTER NO. 3 AT THE ENCINA WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for Conversion
of Digesters No. 1 and 3 to fixed cover design with conversion of heating sys-
tems to steam injection and installation of a mixing system in Digester No. 3
at the Encina Water Pollution Control Facility, Contract 1055B; and,
WHEREAS, the low bid received for this construction was submitted by Bay
City Marine, Inc. and Steel Construction in the amount of $54,750; and,
WHEREAS, sufficient funds were authorized in FY 1978-79 for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RFSOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $54,750 by Bay City Marine, Inc. and Steel Construction of
San Diego for Contract 1055B for Conversion of Digesters No. 1 and 3 to fixed
cover design with conversion of heating systems to steam injection and install-
ation of a mixing system in Digester No. 3 at the Encina Water Pollution Con-
trol Facility is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute a contract therefor.
