RESOLUTION NO. 5577
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR CONTRACT
NO. 1045 FOR LA COSTA CANYON PARK
IMPROVEMENT.
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad
€or improvement of La Costa Canyon Park, Contract No. 1045; and
WHEREAS, the bid received for this construction, in the
imount of $228,939.25, substantially exceeds the funds available
€or the project in the 1978-79 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the public
interest requires the Council to exercise its discretion under
jection 3.28.120 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code and reject all
Dids;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That all bids for Contract No. 1045 for improvement of
La Costa Canyon Park are hereby rejected.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
day of City Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 7th
November , 1978, by the following vote, to wit:
Councilmen Skotnicki, Anear, Lewis and Councilwoman Casler

ABSENT: Councilman Packard
