RESOLUTION NO. 5726
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TQ FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR A CITY MEASURE
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election is to be held in
The City of Carlsbad, on June 5, 1979, at which there will be
submitted to the qualified voters of said City, the following
Measure, to wit:
SHALL ORDINANCE NO. 6509 BE ADOPTED AWNDING TITLE
5 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF
C-HAPTER 5 -09 TO IMPOSE A LICENSE TAX ON ALL NEW
CONSTRUCTION 111 THE CITY FOR TIlE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING
PUBLIC FACILITIES.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, DECLARED, DETERMINED
AND ORDERED by the City Council of the City of CarlsSad, as
follows:
SECTION 1. That this City Council, being the legislative
body of the City of Carlsbad, hereby authorizes
RONALD C. PACKARD
ANTHONY J. SKOTNICKI
CLAUDE A. LEWIS
MY H. CASLER
GIRARD W. ANEAR
members of said body, to file a written argument for the City
Measure, set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with
Article 4, Chapter 3, Dividion 5 of the Elections Code of
the State of California, and to change said argument until and

including the date fixed by the City Clerk,after which no
arguments for or against said City Neasure may be submitted to
said City Clerk.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad on March 20, 1979 at a Regular Meeting thereof
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Anear, Lewis and
NOES: None Councilwoman Casler
ABSTAIN: None
