RESOLUTION NO. 5795
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, TEMPORARILY CLOSING
CERTAIN CITY STREETS FOR A LOCAL SPECIALITY
EVENT, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce has requested that
:he City Council authorize the temporary closing of certain City
;treets for a local specialty event; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such closing
-s necessary for the safety and protection of persons who are to
ise that portion of the street during the temporary closing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
:ity of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above facts are true and correct.
2. That, pursuant to Section 21101(e) of the California
7ehicle Code, Washington Street from Elm to Grand, State Street
from Elm to Cedar, Grand Avenue from Roosevelt to Washington, and
Zoosevelt to State Street on Elm, shall be temporarily closed for
I local special event on Sunday, November 4, 1979, from 6:OO AM
:o 6:OO PM.
3. That the temporary closing, approved by this resolution,
is subject to the following conditions to be satisfied to the
satisfaction of the City Manager prior to October 30, 1979:
a. A Certificate of Insurance against all liability
laming the City as an "also insured" in the amount of $1,000,000
shall be furnished.

rlsbad City Council held on the 5th day of June
79, by the following vote, to wit:

Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Anear, Lewis and
Councilwoman Casler
