RESOLUTION NO. 5823
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA CREATING AND ESTAB- LISHING A CAPITAL CONSTRUCTION RESERVE FUND.
WHEREAS, the City Council has developed a long term capital
improvement program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council annually sets aside funds intended
-0 accumulate to be used to finance the capital improvement
xogram and such funds have been carried over from year to year
is part of the unappropriated fund balance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council from time to time continues
Lppropriations for capital improvements which are not undertaken
luring the year scheduled; and
WHEREAS, funds need to be available to finance capital
-mprovemen t s ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
:ity of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. There is hereby created a fund to be known as the
lapital Improvement Reserve.
2. The City Council from time to time may appropriate funds
:o, or expend or transfer funds from the Capital Improvement
teserve as the Council deems necessary for any purpose.
3. There is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated
;enera1 Fund balance the sum of eight hundred thousand dollars
:$800,000) for deposit in the Capital Improvement Reserve.
4. There is hereby appropriated from the continuing
ippropriation account of the General Fund the sum of one million
:hree hundred eighty thousand one hundred thirty-eight dollars
:$1,380,138) for deposit in the Capital Improvement Reserve.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at an adjourned meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the
25th day of June , 1979, by the following vote,
to wit:
