RESOLUTION NO. 5831
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
WITHDRAWAL FROM THE COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ACT PROGRAM AS ADMINISTERED BY THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO.
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has participated in the
Comprehensive Employment Training Act Program contracting with
the County of San Diego since January of 1974; and
WHEREAS, participation in the program has been a benefit
to the city and to the employees involved; and
WHEREAS, new Comprehensive Employment Training Act requirement,
are considered restrictive to the point where the cost of adminis-
tering the program would greatly diminish its usefulness to the
city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the city will terminate its participation in the
Comprehensive Employment Training Act Program which is administered
by the County of San Diego, effective September 30, 1979.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held the 3rd
day of July , 1979, by the following vote to wit:
AYES : Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Lewis, Anear and
Councilwoman Casler NOES : None
ABSENT: None
