RESOLUTION NO. 5887-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING REIMBURSEMENT
OF FUNDS TO KAMAR CONSTRUCTION COMPfW, INC. FOR WATER, SEWER AND STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, Kamar Construction Company, Inc., hereinafter referred to
as Subdivider, was required to construct sewer, water and storm drain improve-
ments in Monroe Street by the tentative map conditions for CT 72-1 and 72-11,
approved by Resolution No. 1947 and Resolution No. 2035 respectively; and
WHEREAS, City required Subdivider to oversize such water improvements
from 8-inch diameter to 12-inch diameter; and construct a 56-foot long 8-inch
diameter sewer stub; install three extra-deep sewer manholes; and oversize
storm drain improvements from 33-inch and 36-inch diameter pipe to 36-inch and
42-inch diameter pipe; all such construction being to the benefit of other
properties not owned by Subdivider; and
WHEREAS, City assured the developer that he would be reimbursed for
these improvements ; and
WHEREAS, Subdivider has installed and constructed sewer, water and
drainage improvements in Monroe Street, such improvements generally extending
northerly from Elm Avenue, and the location and details of such installation
and construction were in accordance with detailed plans identified as Drawings
Nos. 166-8 (Sheets 6 6 7) and 170-3 (Sheet 2) on file in the office of the
City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, Subdivider has paid for the cost of such oversizing and
additional construction as shown on the attached itemized cost estimate,
marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated by reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council hereby approves reimbursement in

the amount of $11,339.00 for the construction costs expended by Kamar
Construction Company, Inc. to oversize waterline and storm drain and provide
additional sewer facilities.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 2 1 s t day of A~~U st 9 1919_Y
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Anear and Councilwoman Cas1 er
NOES : None
ABSENT: Councilman Lewis
