A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING
A COMPENSATION PLAN FOR COUNCIL APPOINTED
OFFICIALS FOR THE 1979-80 FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to make adjustments
in compensation for Council appointed officials;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Salary Schedule for City Council appointed
officials for the 1979-80 Fiscal Year shall be as follows:
Effective July 1, 1979
City Attorney $1605 Bi-weekly
City Manager $1666 Bi-weekly
3. That except as provided in this resolution, City Council
appointed officials shall receive the benefits of the Executive
Compensation Plan for Management Level I employees as adopted
by Resolution No. 5885.
4. Section 7 shall not apply. Removal of the City Manager
and City Attorney is controlled by Municipal Code Chapter 2.12
and 2.14 respectively.
5. The City Manager and the City Attorney shall earn
fifteen working days of vacation and may accumulate up to and
including 40 days of vacation.
6. Effective September 1, 1979 the City Attorney shall
be authorized to receive the amount of sixty-five dollars ($65)
per month in lieu of coverage under the City's health and
medical insurance plan. ///

in the 4th day of September, 1979 by the following vote, to
vit:
