HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-02-05; City Council; Resolution 6071.> *#- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 e 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 6071 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, TEMPORARILY CLOSING CERTAIN CITY STREETS FOR A LOCAL SPECIALITY EVENT, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS. WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce has requested that the City Council authorize the temporary closing of certain City streets for a local specialty event; and 'WEREAS, the City Council has determined that such closing is necessary for the safety and protection of persons who are to use that portion of the street during the temporary closing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the 2ity of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above facts are true and correct. 2. That, pursuant to Section 21101(e) of the California Jehicle Code, Washington Street from Elm to Grand, State Street from Elm to Cedar, Grand Avenue from Roosevelt to Washington, and Roosevelt to State Street on Elm, shall be temporarily closed for 3 local special event on Sunday, May 4, 1980, from 6:OO AM to 6:OO PM. 3. That the temporary closing, approved by this resolution, is subject to the following conditions to be satisfied to the satisfaction of the City Manager prior to April 25, 1980: a.
