HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-02-19; City Council; Resolution 6083L :apacity to certain projects; and WHEREAS, these allocations did not use all of the sewer :apacity available to the City of Carlsbad; and WHEREAS, the City Council, on December 18, 1979, directed :he Sewer Committee to report back to the Council with recommenda- :ions on how to use the remaining EDU'S: and WHEREAS, the Sewer Committee met and after study reported 20 the City Council at their February 5, 1980 meeting and recommended that the Second Phase Sewer Allocation System be revised to allocate the 189.6 remaining EDU'S to the single Eamily residential (greater than four), multiple family residential 2nd new industrial land use categories according to the rankings nade pursuant to the Second Phase Sewer Allocation System: and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that in order to avoid unreasonable splitting of a project and to make maximum use of the available capacity it is necessary to add 28.4 EDU'S from the discretionary reserve to the other EDU'S available for allocation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the RESOLUTION NO. 6083 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FIRST REVISION TO THE SECOND PHASE SEWER ALLOCATION SYSTEM. WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Second Phase Sewer llocation System on September 18, 1979 by Resolution No. 5933, nd amended it by Resolution No. 5979 on November 20, 1979; and WHEREAS, the City Council has, by Resolution Nos. 6011, 013, 6035, 6040 and 6041, authorized the allocations of sewer 2ity of Car'lsbad as follows: 1. 2. That the above recitations are true and correct. That the City Council finds that there are 189.6 EDU'S remaining from the initial allocation pursuant to the Second Phase Sewer Allocation System. 3. That the public interest requires that 28.4 EDU'S De taken from the discretionary reserve to be allocated together with the 189.6 for a total of 218 EDU'S. 4. That 68 EDU'S are hereby made available for allocation in the single family (more than 4) land use category. 5. That 58 EDU'S are hereby made available for allocation in the multiple family land use category. 6. That 92 EDU'S are hereby made available for allocation in the new industrial land use category. 7. That all EDU'S made available by this resolution shall be allocated by reference to the point-ranking of projects previously made for the initial allocation pursuant to the Second Phase Sewer Allocation System subject to such revisions as the City Council may make in carrying out the purposes and intent of said system. 8. That any allocations made pursuant to this First Revision to the Second Phase Sewer Allocation System shall be subject to all the terms and conditions of this Resolution anc Resolution No. 9533, as amended by Resolution No. 5979. /// /// /// /// 2.
