RESOLUTION NO. 6210
A WSOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAWSBAD, CALIFORNIA, TEMPORARILY CLOSING CERTAIN CITY STREETS FOR A LOCAL SPECIALITY EVENT, SUB- JTCT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce has requested that
:he City Council authorize the temporary closing of certain City
:treets for a local specialty event: and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such closing
.s necessary for the safety and protection of persons who are to
ise that portion of the street during the temporary closing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
lity of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above facts are true and correct.
2. That, pursuant to Section 21101(e) of the California
'ehicle Code, Washington Street from Elm to Grand, State Street
'rom Elm to Cedar, Grand Avenue from Roosevelt to Carlsbad Boule-
rard, and Roosevelt to State Street on Elm, shall be temporarily
:losed for a local special event on Sunday, November 2, 1980,
irom 7:OO AM to 5:30 PM.
3. That the temporary closing, approved by this resolution,
.s subject to the following conditions to be satisfied to the
iatisfaction of the City Manager prior to October 24, 1980:
a. A Certificate of Insurance against all liability naming
:he City as an "also insured" in the amount of $1,000,000 shall be

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Zarlsbad City Council held on the 17th day of June
L980, by the following vote, to wit;
AYES: Council Members Packard, Lewis and Casler
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Members Kulchin and Anear
RONALD C. PACKARD, Mayor
