HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-12-16; City Council; Resolution 63861 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 I I ~ in the City of/Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted , I on Tuesday, the 4th day of November, 1980, as required by law; and RESOLUTION NO. 6386 I I WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolutions No. 6283, and No. 6284, said Election was consolidated with the Presidential General A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE 4TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1980, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AMD SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE REQUIIPED BY LAW. Election held on said date; and WHEREAS, notice of said Election was duly and regularly given in time, form and manner as provided by law, that voting precincts were properly established, that election officers were appointed and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections' Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in cities; and WHEREAS, City Council Resolution No. 6283, adopted on the 19th day of August, 1980, authorized the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego to canvass the returns of said Election; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Elections' Code said canvass has been completed by the Registrar of Voters, who has certified the results to said Board and to this City Council, said results are attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A". 4 6 * 1 I . t r I t E 1( 11 1: 12 14 If 1E 17 1E 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does resolve as follows : 1. 2. That the above recitations are true and correct. That at said Special Municipal Election, the following measure was submitted to the electors of said City, to wit: "DO t$e qualified electors of the City of Carlsbad, pursuant to Article XXXIV of the Constitution of the State of California, approve the development, construction, and acquisition of low rent hous- ing projects by the City of Carlsbad, or other CityTdesignated public agency, not to exceed 250 total units on scattered sites throughout the City to provide living accommodations for low-income senior citizens. 11 ~ 3. 14,739. 4. That the whole number of votes cast in said City was I That the measure voted upon at said election is as follows : "DO the qualified electors of the City of Carlsbad, pursuant to Article XXXIV of the Constitution of the S'tate of California, approve the development, construction, and acquisition of low rent hous- ing pkojects by the City of Carlsbad, or other City-'designated public agency, not to exceed 250 t,otal units on scattered sites throughout the City to provide living accommodations for low-income senior citizens. That the number of votes given at each precinct, for and against the measure were as listed in Exhibit "A" attached. That as a result of said election, the majority of the 6. qualified voters voting on said measure relating to Article XXXIV voted in favor thereof and that said proposition was carried, and shall be deemed adopted and ratified. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City 7.
