RESOLUTION NO. 6524
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION
JUNCTION WITH THE CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PLANT TREES IN VARIOUS CITY AND SCHOOL OWNED
AREAS
FOR CALIFORNIA URBAN FORESTRY GRANT FUNDS IN CON-
WHEREAS, the State of California has funds available to
plant trees for forests throughout California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Unified
School District desire to plant trees throughout Carlsbad to
enhance the environment; and
WHEREAS, various persons and community organizations have
agreed to contribute money and services to this program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to take advantage
of these funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California that the City in conjunction with
the Carlsbad Unified School District will make application for
$7,000 in grant funds through the California Urban Forestry
Grant program and the Parks and Recreation Director is authorized
to sign any agreements, billing notices or other forms necessary
to implement this program.
