HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-06-16; City Council; Resolution 65681 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 6568 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO INVITE BIDS FOR THE CONVERSION OF STREET LIGHTS AT NUMEROUS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD - CONTRACT NO. 1107 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it is necessary and in the public interest to convert numerous street lights in the City of Carlsbad from mercury vapor to high pressure sodium operation; and WHEREAS, specifications for the furnishing of all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or incidental for said project, Contract No. 1107, have been prepared and are on file in the Engineer- ing Department and are incorporated by reference herein; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. The above recitations are true and correct. 2. The specifications as presented are hereby approved. 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to publish, in accordance with law, notice to contractors inviting bids for the conversion of nljmerous street lights in the City of Carls- bad from mercury vapor to high pressure sodium operation in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinabove referred to. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held the16th day of June , 1981, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Packard, Casler, Anear, Lewis and Kulchin NOES: None A ABSENT: None ATTEST: RONALD C.
