RESOLUTION NO. 65 d
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING A CHANGE TO SECTION 5,
RULE IV, OF THE PERSONNEL RULES.
WHEREAS, the present rule governing the change in anniversary
late upon promotion of police personnel has resulted in unequal
treatment among personnel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
3ity of Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the fol1owin.g language is directed and authorized
as an addition to Section 5, Rule IV, Personnel Rules and Regula-
tions, Resolution No. 6 q23 .
I'B. Anniversary Date Adjustment upon Promotion:
A police employee serving in Salary Step E, shall
be eligible upon promotion for subsequent salary step
increases in a higher range on the annual anniversary
of the date of promotion. promoted from Step A, B, C, or D, that employee shall
retain the anniversary date which was in effect in the salary range from which the employee was promoted."
