RESOLUTION NO. 6592
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
REQUIRED BY ARTICLE XIIIB OF THE CALIFORNIA STATE CONSTITUTION AND STATE LAW.
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE 1980-81 APPROPRIATION LIMIT AS
WHEREAS article XIIIB of the California State Constitution requires that
governments annual ly establish a 1 imi t on the appropri atior; of woceeds of
taxes; and
HHEREAS state law requires that this limit be formally adopted by the
governing body of each entity prior to June 30th of each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS state law also requires that this limit be published in a newspaper
of general circulation to allow pub1 ic response to the 1 imi t as adopted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does hereby
establish ar?d adopt the 1980-81 appropriation limit of fifteen million seven
hundred twenty six thousand six hundred seventy three dollars <$15,726,673)
as computed in exhibit A attached hereto.
2. That the City Clerk is directed to publish this resolution in a
newspaper of general ci rcul ation.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad held on the 23rd day of June , 1981 , by the
following vote, to wit:
