A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
DELEGATION OF CERTAIN CLAIMS FUNCTIONS PURSUANT
TO SECTION 935.4 OF THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT
CODE .
WHEREAS, the City Council has established a program of
iability self-insurance; and
WHEREAS, as part of that program the City Council, by
he adoption of Resolution No. 6590, has authorized the City
anager, with the concurrence of the City Attorney, to settle
iability claims against the city not exceeding $4,999.00; and
WHEREAS, the effective administration of the liability
lelf-insurance program requires, in addition, the delegation of
-elated claims functions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
:he City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Manager, with the concurrence of the
:ity Attorney, shall have authority to perform such functions of
:he City Council, of the City of Carlsbad, relating to claims as

Processing claims presented under city
regulations.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, on the
7th day of JdY , 1981 by the following vote,
to wit:
