RESOLUTION No. 6G05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
MENT WITH SPENCE ENTERPRISES, INC., PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT PARKING CITATIONS.
CALIFORNIAy AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREE-
WHEREAS, the City of Carl sbad Pol ice Department issues parking citations
for violations of the Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS the current system of col 1 ecti on of del i nquen t parki ng citation
is inadequate towards promoting pub1 ic compliance to citations payment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to operate a parking citation col-
lection system in a cost effective manner; and
WHEREAS, Spence Enterprises, Inc. currently operates a computerized
citation collection system available for isagc by the City of Carlsbad, such
system that will greatly enhance Carlsbad's parking citation collection effort.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
to enter into the attached agreement with hereby authorizes the Nayor
Spence Enterprises, Inc. providing for the collection of delinquent parking
citations.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of July, 1981 by the following votey
to wit:
AYES: Council Mahers Packard, Caslez, hear, Lewis and Kulehin
