RESOLUTION NO. 6709
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD AUTHORIZING A MUTUAL FIRE
PROTECTION AID AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF
ESCONDIDO
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad and the City of Escondido
both maintain and operate a fire protection organization in
reasonable proximity to the other; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of both cities to render aid each
to the other to combat the effect of any major fire; and
WHEREAS, Carlsbad and Escondido desire to enter a mutual aid
agreement to obtain this goal; and
WHEREAS, California Government Code Sections 6500-6547 and
Health and Safety Code Sections 13050 permit such an agreement
between the parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. The "Agreement for Mutual Fire Protection Aid" between
the City of Carlsbad and the City of Escondido is hereby author-
ized and approved.
2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute this agreement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City Of
Carlsbad, California, this 3rd day of , 1981,
by the following vote, to wit:
