RESOLUTION NO. 6 766
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO VARIOUS
ACCOUNTS TO FUND PRIOR YEARS EXCUMERANCES.
WHEREAS, a change in national standards for governmental
accounting have necesitated a change in practices in accounting
for encumbrances at year end; and
mREAS, this change requires that expenditures be recorded
in the period in which the payment occures rather than when an
order is placed; and
WHEREAS, this change also necesitates the appropriation of
funds in the current year to fund all outstanding encumbrances at
year end; and
WHEREAS, funds for this specific p~r?ose are available in the
reserved fund balance accounts as shown in the 1980-81 annual
report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California does hereby ap2rove the appropriation
of $964,426 to the accounts shown on exhibit I.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 19th day of J~~~uary , 1982 by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Menhers Packard, Casler, hear, Lewis and Kulchin
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
