RESOLUTION NO. 6793
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR A CARDROOM LICENSE BY RALPH F. BURNETT AND JACK BUTTON FOR A CARDROOM TO BE LOCATED AT 390 GRAND AVENUE, CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, a verified application for a cardroom license has been filed
with the City of Carlsbad and referred to the Chief of Police for investigation;
pursuant to the provisions of Municipal Code Chapter 5.12, Section 5.12.030;
and
WHEREAS, an investigation of the applicants Ralph F. Burnett and Jack
Buttons was undertaken and no information was found that would constitute a
basis for denial of the application; and
WHEREAS, the location of the cardroom would not significantly change
the environment of the neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police recommends that the application be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council, of the City
of Carl sbad as fol lows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the license to operate a cardroom at 390 Grand Avenue, Carlsbad,
California by Ralph F. Burnett and Jack Button be issued, subject to
the following conditions:
1. That the licensees comply with all federal, state, county and
city statutes and conditions;
That the Chief of Police shall review the license, building and
operations every five years for compliance with this resolution
and he may renew the license if he finds such renewal consistent
with the public interest.

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad
City Council held on the 16th day of February , 7982,
by the following vote, to wit:
